Just like in France!

Whenever you purchase an entry way door with glass windows, you may worry about privacy: people can peer in at any hour and see if you are home or what you are doing. However, this image below demon…

A Decorative Pantry Door

This former screen door makes one heck of a cool pantry door. If you are like me, and keep your pantry a total mess, this might not be an ideal fit: people can peer into the disaster you’ve created.…

A Full-spectrum Door

This is an interesting door, among the most unique I have seen (and, as you know, I know my doors). I can’t really picture it as an entry way door (except at Rainbow Bright’s house). Wood or steel s…

Now THAT's a lock!

So, this image is not of a door, per say, but I came across it on the Internet and thought I would share. I, personally, am someone who likes to keep my house locked. I, like the typical person, don…

A dash of color...

Depending on where you live, you may or may not
be able to pull off a door like the one below. For one thing, it would
depend on how strict your home owner's association is. Some HOA want
all doors to be white or all doors to be brown. But, if you have a HOA
who is relaxed, or don't have one at all, then your door can probably

little creativity can do for your entrance way. What you notice first

Decorative portal

Below is a picture of a really neat looking door
- though it is more of an entry way than a door. Still, it is kind of a
cool pic. Definitely goes to show you that you don't always have to
think of doors in the regular sense. They aren't always - forgive me -
an open and shut case. This may not be feasible for an entry way - as
it will surely let robbers, insects, cold air and, most unfortunately,
relative, enter without resistance. But, it is kind of a cool idea for

Artistic security

Your entry way can say a lot about you. It can
say that you care about security. It can say that you keep your windows
impeccably clean. It can even say that you haven't swept your porch
since the early 1980's. The point is that your entry way can say a lot,
so why not make it say what you want. With your entry way, you have a
chance to introduce people to your house ("House, meet John"). One of
the best ways to do this is with a unique looking entry way. Take, for

Discreet security

In this day and age, all of us can use a little
security, including in our home. Most of our houses have doors, or, at
least, I am hoping they do. Sometimes, these doors provide enough
security, other times, people feel more assured with an extra layer of
protection. When this happens, some people turn to things like alarms
or blood thirty (or at least yippy) guard dogs. Other people take the
more subtle route and install a security door. The problem, however,
lies in the f
