In this day and age, all of us can use a little
security, including in our home. Most of our houses have doors, or, at
least, I am hoping they do. Sometimes, these doors provide enough
security, other times, people feel more assured with an extra layer of
protection. When this happens, some people turn to things like alarms
or blood thirty (or at least yippy) guard dogs. Other people take the
more subtle route and install a security door. The problem, however,
lies in the fact that some security guards LOOK like security doors.
This works great for some people, but for those who want a security
door that blends in a little more, consider a look like the one below.
It is a security door by definition, but it blends into its elements. A
possible idea for someone who wants security, without screaming
security.
Something similar along those lines. Most people install an external security strike plate to reinforce the door frame at the dead bolt strike plate. While this may be better than the original strike plate, it also screams security and can also lead to problems with the operation of the door down the road if the door settles or due to differences in temperature and humidity. There is a better solution available that is totally concealed. If you spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on an entry unit, you want the natural beauty of the door unit to shine through. This device can make that happen!
